A visit to the White House

So last week, I was amazingly fortunate to be named a White House Champion of Change and Innovation, and was able to travel to Washington, D.C. for the ceremony.  And as it turns out, someone else came to the ceremony–the President!

It was a really awesome day to get to both talk about techie libraries and to get to meet the President and to represent the Chaps community!  We got to share the iPad project and about what it means to be a connected, Tweeting, and iPad friendly librarian!  We also got a chance to tour the White House (and see the “First Dogs”).

It made me feel very grateful to be here and work with so many wonderful and creative students and staff!   So thank you for all you do!  Now let’s go change education for the better!
