Earth Day!

Celebrate Earth Day today by doing a few good things for the planet!

Paper is a huge area where we create waste.   There are many things you individually can do to make a difference, even in the library.

  • Recycle by checking out a book rather than buying one
  • Email a website to yourself instead of printing it
  • Try to go paperless in the library for just one day by not printing
  • Ask your teacher if you can turn your paper in as a Google doc online
  • Instead of xeroxing something, use your cell phone to take a picture of it
  • If you accidentally print something, use the back of it for notes or scratch paper
  • Share a book you already have with someone else
  • Turn in a book on time to the library so it can be reused more often

Happy Earth Day!   And congratulations to the 30 WHS teachers who have pledged to go paperless for Earth Day!  By the way, this project got a shout out by the New York Times today!
