Our Austin Teen Book Festival was a huge success – hope some of you were able to come!

The authors had a great time and would like to come back again–and from the looks of it the audiences were enjoying it too.

I attended several panels, and learned that: author Susan Colasanti is obsessed by the show Friday Night Lights;  author Pam Bachorz can do a great Wicked Witch of the West laugh;
and author Ally Carter was terrified of Scooby Doo’s villians.

I also learned that the authors care about hearing from their readers, and learn more from their readers offering criticism or suggestions than from just letters of praise.

It was exciting being around people who clearly love what they do and love sharing their books with students. If you missed it this year, be sure to come next year!
